According to the task of the contest (for design concepts of a public toilet in Zhytomyr hydro park), the project focuses on four simple things: natural light, lightness, utilization and protection. These things, which only now are coming into general use in Ukraine, became the basis of the concept idea.

Functionally, the project fulfils all the basic requirements of public places: it has an entrance area, an area for disabled, a mother and child area, a waiting area. The main concept of the building serves the simple idea. The composition "massive bottom – easy top" gives the effect of airiness. During the day the space is filled with natural light, and at night – on the contrary – it’s like a lighthouse that illuminates everything around. The exterior of the building is decorated with green carpet of lawn. Concrete facing plates form the outer perimeter. Mirror panels seem to take off the massive form in the air, making it weightless. The project provides opportunity to improve sanitation facilities and is perfectly adapted to the urban environment.
